GCM Android Application using Eclipse : How To Send Push Notification using GCM(Google Cloud Messaging) in Eclipse
Requirements
***Eclipse
***Wamp Server
***checking SDK files
***checking SDK files
Note:
"Internet connection should be connect when you build your applictaion"
Simple Steps
1. Create a Keys & ID For GCM
Go to Developer console Link here
Note: you need to login your gmail account to access developer console
You just click the SQL tab and then "paste" below query
-->just hit the Create Project
-->Put the project name "pushnotifications"
-->u will see that like image below and click the project
-->so thats the Project number copy to save one notepad file
--> so then click API on left side bar
you will see the API list
Click the "Cloud messaging in android" see under the Mobile API
so just hit the " ENable API" button
then Click right side bar named of "Credentials"
then click the "Add credentials" also click "API key"
then click "Browser Key"
you can notype any browser key just click "create"
so thats the browser API Key u need to copy and save one notepad file
We fetched Two things that is KEY(API key) & ID(Project number)
just save we use lastly on project.
2. Create a Server Utilities
Go to Download "WAMP SERVER"
you select both 32 bit or 64 bit as per your system configuration
Install the "WAMP SERVER"
its a easy way just install ordinary applications
And last step of intsall also next step.
START THE Wamp Server first
note: just go to "mycomputer-->wampserver-->start wamp server"
Goto a Browser (Chrome or any)
type
"localhost/phpmyadmin"
You will see like that...
then you need to type on the database name as "gcm"
then click create
You just click the SQL tab and then "paste" below query
CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `gcm_users` ( `id` int (11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `gcm_regid` text, ` name ` varchar (50) NOT NULL , `email` varchar (255) NOT NULL , `created_at` timestamp NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP , PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=1 ;
|
You will seee like that..
2. Create a Server files in PHP
Goto to the folder
"C://wamp/www"
then next create the folder "gcm_server_php"
next see like that
inside the folder
create the PHP files
open notepad or(notepad++)
copy the codes and save the note pad file in ".php"
config.php
<?php
/**
* Database config variables
*/
define("DB_HOST", "localhost");
define("DB_USER", "root");
define("DB_PASSWORD", "");
define("DB_DATABASE", "gcm");
/*
* Google API Key
*/
define("GOOGLE_API_KEY", "replace your key"); // Place your Google API Key
?>
note: replace your API key finded on step 1
